Did you add the community tag? Because it's downright ridiculous to see a post about men murdering women because they can't get laid tagged "misandry."

I used to get calls from debt collectors about my mother's medical bills. Not even my debt. My solution was an Asterisk box that would play /dev/random on demand, then call them back and do it again when they hung up and keep going for an hour, then remember the number so it could answer and screech white noise for an hour automatically if they called back.

It took a few months, but they stopped calling me.

We almost had a socialist as a major party candidate. For the first time in my lifetime the actual left has a place in mainstream politics. The culture wars are all over but the shouting. I have never been accused of being an optimist, but I think things are looking up, and I say that living in the south and in a town where there are still occasionally Klan rallies.

The "liberal" in neoliberal is the same as the "liberal" in "classical liberal", that is it's a reactionary revival of Adam Smith/John Locke style economic thought from the dawn of capitalism before we saw the gilded age and the cruelties of the industrial revolution and learned to be as skeptical of industry as Enlightenment revolutionaries were of aristocrats. Ideology shapes policy, addressing individual policies is just playing whack-a-mole when what you really need to do is smash the whack-a-mole machine.

As reasons to self medicate go, listening to Mitt Romney is a pretty good one.
