I just deleted my facebook after having the account for 9 years. This just looks like esoteric Ruby to me.
Honestly, the outlook of Google+ at any point becoming profitable is so far gone that I think it's sound for them to cutt it off. Lamentable, yes, because I was just staring to find good posters (much like reader at the time of its beheading). On the other hand, Google is quick and to act on short term successes, such as its partnership with Uber on self driving cars, X-space challenge (or whatever it was called) but the company doesn't seem to have the patience for long term profit sinks. If a product doesn't have an instant profitablity, it disappears.
Finishing up a Django/Python backend for an internet of things thermometer. I'll be getting the hardware today for testing.
Good job on the usability. I made this with some friends that lets you see where businesses fail (specific to CO) but we never quite got the user interface done right: http://churn.rocks/#/map
It's the slow food movement of the internet. Just like how you'd want to avoid overly processed, sanitized meats, you want your content devoid of censorship guided by corporate egos.
Can't get enough of it. Picked it up from a recent thread on peoples' first posts that I was tagged in. The visuals in the background are a work of art themselves.
and remember these three magic numbers: $9.55, $19.05 and $38.10. That’s right. Never use the short cuts. Just type in one of those numbers.
Your poem smells like onions. Very well done.
You are the 1.6%! Also, generally, the further east you go on MLK, the more likely it is you'll see a black dude
ahametals, lol. They might be next on my list. Seriously, I didn't even have to look at their posting history.
humanodon don't you know the hair of the dog?
I did this contest once with two friends of mine as a New Year's resolution slash bet. Each of us put in twenty bucks. The contest itself was flawed because one could easily lie and collect the pot. That may have happened, in fact, because I was 16, same as my friend, and the other party was early 20's -- meaning he had more self-control and wisdom. Personally, I lasted 27 days, and that was as a teenager. At that point, it was a kinky touch activated fire hose. I admitted it to my colleague, and he said he failed within the first week. I 'came' in second place. But now, having aged and matured, being filled with mightier will, being now in my prime, and having no 'main squeeze' to escape the neurotic, nail-biting happiness that will no doubt accompany such an endeavor, such an enterprise, I'm in. (Sorry for the luscious detail, but this is the internet, so what can you expect?)
eightbitsamurai, I nominate you for "Most Unique Post" of the First Half of 2014. And Best Music.
Where is this place? I'm hungry.
Longreads has been a pretty interesting source for this type of thing.
Coincidentally, I am reading Thomas Meyer's modern translation at this very moment. These two may be of similar caliber.
I was quite involved in Environmental Club meetings discussing and raising awareness about Cascadia. Hopefully some aspects of the utopian idea will actualize. The first step, of course, is to get the rest of the country on board with the thought that America isn't as homogenous as people are led to believe.
