That's an optimistic take, or maybe I've become cycnical (regarding human nature). A class based analysis of the bullshitting verbal virtuoso and the role it can play in silencing experts, for example, could point to "positive" outcomes for a subset who field these machines.

Regarding the Jinn, just fyi, some of them are asserted to be Muslims. Take the one capable jinnie who time-travelled in service of Solomon so he could impress the Queen of Sheba .. ;)

Fishes mean dreams. Piranhas, bad dream. Toilet, bowel movement. Fighting fishies, conflicted anxieties.

So what did you eat that night? (Let me guess? Tacos? ;-)

Why not try creating a responsible advertising model? Like DDG [querying Google on your behalf], you could proxy between members and advertisers. Sell ads based on forum demographics & topic, while maintaining the virtuous model of non-tracking and anonymous readership.

Kennedy is Assange's attorney. The last one encountered a hard, fast, moving object. His US attorney died a month earlier.

This pastebin documents the background on the phoney pedophila.

Remember that CNN says it is "illegal" to look at this stuff unless you are an "accredited" news media outfit. CNN did not mention what happens to mere reddited news outfits but David Solof apparently has his own ideas. :)

Dear OP. Here I quote my friend: "I am sure she is a very nice girl. Move on." And OP, you do not want to know the gorry details here.

Move on.

I learned to drive stick on the very first Golf. My uncle drove it from Germany to Iran back in 78. I was ~13. My first car was also a (classic) GTI. Loved that car. Totaled it twice. :)

Here is the history of this sort of agitprop interestingly termed as "satire".

Inevitably, the purpose of this sort of rabble rousing is to leverage the unthinking ballast of so-called "Humanity" to affect perceptual change in the collective.

I find it interesting that New Yorker is confusing its adjectives. The cartoons were, it would seem, an expression of "hate". The violent response the desired "violent response" by equally ignorant bipeds.

Kindly note that this is not a note of support for either of these truly irresponsible ideologues.

What happened to all the cool youths in the '80s ...

Possibly you are too young to remember the mad craze for Wall Street issued paper in the 90s ..

Thank you for that pull quote from Kevin Kelly. Minds given to hyperbole are susceptible to self-deception and ultimately incapable of true critical thinking.

Mr. Kelly: My calculare is not an "intelligence". Poor bot needs me to push its buttons before it 'reacts'. It is not 'other'. It is 'thing', 'construct', "mecha". We made it and certainly not in our own image given that contemplation of our own image brings our minds to its knees ..

You may want to watch this. Religion and mysticism are a defining aspect of the Russian Soul.

As it is clearly pointed out in the Torah, and further reminded by Jesus (per the Gospels), when a community is of one mind ("pure") then the punishment is a necessary corrective. Otherwise, it is simply violence. (Since the barrel is mostly filled with rotten apples, to begin with ...)

To wit, the British Empire installed Saudi-Wahabi Islam is in itself an "insult" against Islam, & the Messenger (SAWS).

Not sure how I feel about all this.

If one could get a seat at the table with the founders when they hashed out the architecture for our system, one would urge creating permanent presence for societal sectors orthogonal to the general idealogical partisan mix. (House of commons of the British is not what I am talking about here; just recognizing societal structural realities and addressing them accordingly.)

Agreed.

Back in late 90s I was (conceptually) looking into securing mobile software agents for BeesEyes. It turns out it is computationally impossible to secure mobile agents against a malicious host. (MITM). These days, the HW platforms provided to us by The Panopticon should be considered as hostile platforms: I don't even understand how anyone would consider these systems as secure.

(love this strange universe we live in ;)

There is only one solution to all this overreach. We need to collectively reassert our "Inalienable Rights" ...

alpha0  ·  3479 days ago  ·  link  ·    ·  parent  ·  post: What does it mean to forgive?

We posses bodies that extend in time as well as space. When you have forgiven your remembrances are clear and perturbations cease, and the object (person x) emerges in present time. When ALL is forgiven, you will be in here&now. God be with you.

Zhang's paper.

The biggest stumbling block in understanding primes is the persistent ideation of continuums. If we thought in modular form, then we would clearly see that there is nothing "random" about Primes.

[Master Dogen related a] story about two Chinese Zen masters, Shigong Huizang (n.d.; Shakkyo Ezo in Japanese), and his younger Dharma brother, Xitang Zhizang (735-814; Seido Chizo in Japanese).

     Shigong asked
Do you know how to grasp space?

     The younger brother, Zhizang said
         Yes I do.

     Shigong asked
          How do you grasp it?

Zhizang stroked the air with his hand.

     Shigong said
You don't know how to grasp space.

     Zhizang asked
How do you grasp it, older brother?

Shigong grasped his younger brother's nose and yanked.
[It might even be read that he stuck his finger in the younger brother's nostril before pulling ..]

Either way, Zhizang yelled in pain:
You're killing me! You tried to pull my nose off!

     Shigong said
          You can grasp it now!
Since you like music, my friend, I refer you to Laurie Anderson .. ;)
