Blaming the wet markets again too. How gullible do they think we are? Lol “The surges in two of Asia's biggest capitals serve as a clear warning to America and all other countries: reopening risks reinfection.”
After this story ran, Amazon spokesperson Ashley Robinson reached out with a statement that pushed back against The Verge‘s reporting — but failed to provide specific examples of inaccuracies. “Similar to many companies, we have performance expectations regardless of whether they are corporate or fulfillment center employees,” read the statement. “We support people who do not perform to the levels expected of them with dedicated coaching to help them improve and be successful in their career at Amazon. We would never dismiss an employee without first ensuring that they had received our fullest support, including dedicated coaching to help them improve and additional training. Since we’re a company that continues to grow, it’s our business objective to ensure long-term career development opportunities for our employees.”
"The crux of today's cosmological paradigm is that in order to maintain a mathematically unified theory valid for the entire universe, we must accept that 95 percent of our cosmos is furnished by completely unknown elements and forces for which we have no empirical evidence whatsoever. "
It boasts 27 engines, more than any other working rocket has ever used, which together create a combined 5 million pounds of thrust at liftoff. That means the Falcon Heavy can put around 140,000 pounds of cargo into lower Earth orbit, more than twice as much weight as any other operational rocket.
Frustrated kitties leave home for a couple of hours, for hunting reasons, just to come back again cutest than ever for their owners, of course. It's like you don't give your precious cat her favorite yummy wet food and the next thing you know she's out the door cursing and yelling, getting ready for a kill (poor little innocent birdies). Fictional scenario, please take it as such.
Interesting reading. 6 days ago I read about how Tesla’s autopilot tricked into driving on the wrong side of the road. That was also an interesting reading.
I'm so fed up with Brexit news... Every time I open google news, the first one is with Brexit. The same thing on other news websites.
I liked the article. Great reading. Also, from Wikipedia: "Sputnik was first isolated in 2008 from a sample obtained from humans; it was harvested from the contact lens fluid of an individual with keratitis.[5] Naturally however, the Sputnik virophage has been found to multiply inside species of the opportunistically pathogenic protozoan Acanthamoeba, but only if that amoeba is infected with the large mamavirus. Sputnik harnesses the mamavirus proteins to rapidly produce new copies of itself."
I was wondering what playing chess can do for you, with skepticism, of course, and one search on google showed me this: - promotes brain growth - it exercises both sides of the brain - raises your IQ - helps prevent Alzheimer’s - sparks your creativity - Increases problem-solving skills I guess I must learn how to play chess then...
I was hoping to not read this: "The fungus hasn’t acted alone; humans have been its unwitting accomplice. A genetic study led by Matthew Fisher from Imperial College London suggested that Bd had originated somewhere in Asia. From there, one especially virulent and transmissible strain spread around the world in the early 20th century—a time when international trade was booming. Infected animals could have stowed away aboard ships, or been deliberately transported as food, pets, or pregnancy tests. Either way, the killer strain eventually spread to five other continents." Once again, humans and their killing actions...
All six officers fired at him... That's very disturbing. I think the situation infuriates a lot of people, but at the same time it makes them sad because things like that can be avoided.
I can't deny the fact that the article is very interesting and I find the discrepancy between men and women, when it comes to health and scientific studies, so sad. I mean why is it easier to conduct studies with men than with women? Gender bias in healthcare is an epidemic that needs to be addressed: “People are dying because they are female and doctors are blinded by their gender.” (this may be exaggerated, it's a quote from another article, also "The Guardian"). But I agree with it.
Sanders is the longest-serving independent in congressional history, but competes for the Democratic nomination as he says standing as a third-party candidate would diminish his chances of winning the presidency.
My first action was to jump to first dinosaurs :D
The most beautiful thing I have seen all day. Interesting fact about mountains on moon (I can finally share this peace on information): On the barren floor of the Mare Imbrium are two of the most impressive single mountain peaks on the surface of the moon, Mons Piton and Mons Pico. The Mons Piton has a base 16 miles (25 kilometers) in diameter and towers 7,380 feet (2,250 m) over the surrounding plain.
