Snowden's response via Twitter:

Finally: irrefutable evidence that I never cooperated with Russian intel. No country trades away spies, as the rest would fear they're next.

This post was pretty excellent until it got so preachy near the end.

I give this post a perfect 5/7.

I'm not sure that "hidden" is the right word, but yeah, it's the Hubski donation Bitcoin ID.

I maintain a pretty positive outlook on my life. So yes, I like being myself. I don't think I ever dislike being myself. Sometimes I may regret an action, or I may want to remove myself from some situation. But yeah, I think I always like me.

That'd be kind of neat. I think, though, I would like the ability to toggle that function on or off as I please.

As far as I'm aware, yeah. I think part of the leaked documents detailed that companies would be able to sue governments (id est, the people) if the government does something that might affect future profits.

Edit: Here is an article about it. For all I know, that part of the TPP could have been revised, though.

If you had said Ray Kurzweil, I could have believed it.

The inclusion of a middle initial in formal correspondence is a strong identifier of intelligence ...

That's good news for my ego. Honestly, though, I only include my middle initial because my first and last name combination are surprisingly common.

There's a lot to suggest she's Luke's daughter: She has a similar story; She's evidently powerful in the force; She owns some items reminiscent of Luke's past belongings (a jedi training remote, rebel alliance pilot helmet), et cetera; There's also this teaser. It seems like it is directed to Rey, given that she's the main character. It strongly suggests Rey is related to Luke.

In all honesty, I think this series has enough familial twists. I hope she isn't related to Luke. What if she was conceived by the force? Like Anakin? Maybe she'll be the exact opposite of Darth Vader.

I didn't think Man of Steel was bad, but it did disappoint me. I thought it was mediocre. There was so much that even I thought they could improve on. For example, one thing I really wish Snyder had done was use more natural lighting/colour. The costume used for Superman's role was really beautiful, and I think the under-saturated colour ruined it. If Snyder had used more natural colour for Man of Steel, for Batman's scenes in BvS, they could have had a bleaker colour and lighting to them. What would this result in? Easy and excellent juxtaposition between the lighting in Batman and Superman's scenes. I digress...

I don't think Jason Momoa is exactly what I think of when I imagine the Aryan-esque Aquaman. I don't mind change, though, and I did like him in Game of Thrones. On the other hand, I am thrilled and excited for Jesse Eisenberg. I was initially... interested, I suppose. I thought he was a curious choice for Lex Luthor. Now having seen the trailer, I have high hopes for him as Lex. I am excited for his part alone.

I think they need a better director than Snyder. God knows there are far worse than Snyder, but for an excellent movie, I think they need someone better. I have however heard that Chris Terrio is re-writing Goyer's original script. which could really make this movie excellent. He's the only reason I have any expectations. I personally think Goyer's writing is so-so, but he is quite familiar with DC lore, isn't he? If he writes an initial mediocre story, then a better writer improves it, it could make for an enthralling film. After all, this is what happened with the Dark Knight Trilogy.

Overall, I expect the movie will be good -- not great per se, but good.

I don't have a blender : (

But I was thinking of adding bananas to it, actually. I might try strawberries, or raspberries, or something, too.

Existentialist  ·  3058 days ago  ·  link  ·    ·  parent  ·  post: Has anyone here tried Soylent?

Despite being the holidays, it only took four days to arrive.

Why is this directed toward women for the most part? It might be the cynic in me -- or it could even be my greed -- but I don't typically recommend lending anything other than insignificant amounts of money to anyone.
