Took a while but I got my new contract offer, with most of my important demands met. Really happy about it, I feel I've really found my groove lately. People are appreciative, things are moving and getting done thanks to my poking the right people at the right moments - and i'm mostly working 4 day weeks and enjoying crazy weekends with friends. I hope this will last for a bit :) My boss has been occupied and then on vacation for the last 2 months, came back last week and was mostly catching up with his stuff. So it was a bit rough yesterday when he started getting involved in my business with feedback and comments. Nothing bad, I'm just kind of not used to it anymore by now.

I haven't taken any vacations since I've started so I think it's time to consider some winter plans. Mexico seems really appealing right now, for somewhere around February... Not being able to take extended vacations is probably what bugs me the most about having a "real" job - but with the pandemic the fomo was manageable. I don't know how well i'll be able to hold once everything opens up.
