the best way to win elections as somebody left of center is to adopt all the talking points of people right of center while endlessly beating down on young people, activists, and anybody with a shred of passion wokeness is the modern word for PC culture and it bothers me greatly that any GenXer could look at a statement like this and not immediately think "this is culture war posturing"
