It's more hopeless than ever now. 95-98% of the people on these platforms probably shouldn't be there, should probably focus more on improving themselves in a 'delete FB hit the gym' way than try to convince strangers to date them. Anyone attractive/likable enough either has high demands most can't/won't meet, or is quickly off the board.
