What a terribly written article, but what a cool story!! I love that something has changed and allowed this old piece of "space junk" to begin transmitting again... a zombie satellite. (Also putting on my hard hat and climbing under my desk, thinking of the hacky weaponized satellites that must have long gone dark, and sit there in the sky, orbiting silently, until something malfunctions, wakes them up and...)
