They can't cut him out without alienating the internet legions that are only too happy to vote republican because it makes liberals cry. Just recently it became darkly cool to be a The_Donald republican, and that's giving them a window into the (Crazy, politically suicidal) youth that the Dems have enjoyed for a long time, but really were able to leverage with Obama. They either need to keep that group happy, or else cut them out of the republican political process, like, yesterday.
