I'm very fortunate to have family, both mine and my wife's who would take us in if needed.

I also count myself extremely lucky to have some great friends that I feel like I could show up on their porch at any time and they would welcome me in.

But it goes both ways... I think they all know that my house is their house. There's no greater feeling in the world than helping out a friend. (ok... maybe helping out a stranger)

Lastly, I have a safety net in my church. Donated funds go directly to people in need. No clergy draw paychecks. 100% of those funds directly help. It's humbling to be a part of that process, and even more humbling to know that if I ever needed to lean on the church as a last resort... I could.
