Here's what Ceschi had to say

It's odd feeling some sort of nostalgic sorrow about an artist passing who honestly hasn't made moving music in decades. It's pretty cold of me to say, but, in some ways Scott Weiland has been dead to me for a long time. Still…Stone Temple Pilots was an unforgettable band for me. My first big concert memory was an STP show at The Fillmore in San Francisco two days before my 13th birthday. David & I went with some of our best friends Jon Nagel (brilliant illustrator & friend since age 8), Carlos & his father (something like an uncle to us) Derek. That night was the first time I felt the magic of a rock show. An 11 year old David Ramos jumped on stage and hi-fived Scott Weiland before crowd surfing to the back of the room. A drunk asshole pissed on my leg in the middle of the audience. It didn't matter. STP was unreal. Their second album had just come out & they were making the best music of their lives. We were lucky enough to catch a glimpse of that fire. That night ended up being my first real taste of a life long obsession with going to concerts any & everywhere. I still have the poster from that show & will never forget it. Thanks for that, Scott Weiland. Respect to the old tour dogs living & dying on the road. Keep running.
