I struggle to sew a button back on my pants, I don't expect people to learn computers. If their emails suck, ask if they've tried using the direct writing method for work email (get to the point in the first sentence). I couldn't find any good examples online. You expect them to install drivers and updates?! I would tell them the only "downloading" they should be doing is via the print button, nothing else is worth downloading.
