See, there's really only two outcomes that matter when you're talking about this particular issues. First option, things really won't be all that bad and the 'good guys' will keep ahead (perhaps marginally) of the 'bad guys' in the digital arms race. I think this is pretty probable, given that sometime in the next 5-10 years were going to have to figure out meaningful personal digital security or else scrap the concept of privacy alltogether. Second option, Data-geddon. Nothing that goes into the computer world on any device is secure, and all of our digital dirt is used to wreak all sorts of havoc. I'm not computer/coding saavy enough to predict exactly what this would look like, I guarantee it will be really bad for anybody with enough money to be worth robbing, but too little to adequately defend themselves.I fear for what happens when smartphone exploits really take off.
