I spent one day in Michigan, visiting with my parents and grandparents. I was able to swing by Ann Arbor for a minute and see mk, which was nice. His daughter has one kick-ass tree house. Seriously, it's awesome. Also, mk's man-cave above his garage is pretty amazing too. Anyways, we grilled out at my grandparents. I bought some free range, hormone free, bone-in split breast chicken. a few gouda and horseradish bratwurst and a few applewood smoked cheddar bratwurst as well. My mom made a couscous and mango salad and my Oma made a summer salad with greens, dried cherries, walnuts and pear. For the BBQ sauce I used some sauce that we already had (lame, I know), but I added salt, pepper and fresh lemon and lime juice to give it a bite. It was good. It was all very summer. Enjoyed it with Michigan's own Bells Two Hearted Ale. -Delicious:
