Simplest way to control your food intake is to force yourself to cook everything you eat. You'll eat less, because you won't have time, or because you won't always want to cook when you're "hungry" (that is, feel like eating but don't actually need to).

This is, obviously, not advice that everyone is in a situation to be able to take. Hope you are.
