I get your frustration and definitely share it, but in my view the issues you're mentioning are all connected to each other and global warming. Lack of political efficacy and a global capitalist economy stops us from getting the regulations in place to deal with climate change.
This sunday we had an election in my country which lead to a parliamentary situation where no realistic coalition is able to form a majority government. I fear environmental regulations will end up further down on the agenda while the parties continue to debate immigration, an issue which will surely also increase when the global temperatures continue to rise and affected regions get more and more unstable.
Don't get me wrong, climate change is the biggest issue of our lifetimes, but I believe we have to view it in context with all the rest that is happening in the world to be able to do something about it.
