Hear, hear! I'll have to check that one out. I'm currently ignorant of Harry Nilsson, so I'm the perfect target audience for the film. Also, I just love rewatching Python with Gilliam's later work in mind. Not that there aren't loads of other pivotal players in that ensemble, but I know that especially where the films were concerned, Gilliam's influence was pretty substantial. Any good comedy works best when laced with a healthy dose of the grim, and the inverse could be said of horrific dystopias. In some ways, Gilliam's films contain the same ingredients as Python's -- just in inverted proportions. Oh, and I would sooooo have a beer with Gilliam! What do you think he drinks?
