“I don’t know about this inequity deal,” he remarked. “I only know that it is not right to take from some and give to people who don’t want to work. There’s too much welfare already.”

That quote from the Wal-Mart COO sums up a lot, especially when viewed the context that the question asked was about treating workers fairly. Is he suggesting that giving his workers higher pay is robbing the freedom of the Waltons? Or is he saying that because there aren't typically educated people manning the checkout lane, that it doesn't count as real work?

This reminds me of Paul Ryan proclaiming both that he is a Christian and that the reason he got into politics was that he was inspired by Ayn Rand, the self professed atheistic anti-Christ. Typical.
