Gerrymandering and disenfranchising voters seems to be such a common thing, especially with the upcoming elections. It seems to be the only way that the GOP feels they can win.

Your information is never deleted. Once you enter it into the site it is theirs forever. So even if it was there once and now is gone, that information is still tied to your account, this includes name changes also.

Just so all of you know this can be eliminated with a few scripts written into greasemonkey and the use of NoScript and Adblock

This article is interesting, but I agree with others saying that it would not be political suicide even though I do not agree with it. I do have a problem with the way the article was written especially in light of recent events of wikileaks outing Aljazeera and their connections with Qutar. While it was well written it still feels childish at the same time. I suppose I expected more from Aljazeera.

This is really beautiful and amazing. I personally have never seen a time-lapse like this. Thank you for sharing this!
by RubyRhod  ·  link  ·  parent  ·  post: Hubski Update: A tweak
I am not sure If this is related or the right place to put this, I am fairly new here but I felt since I believe it might be related to the tweak somehow, and that others might be having this same problem I would address it here.

I am seeing a bug that might be related to this tweak, or it could just be me! I am not seeing any numbers next to the "comments" on many posts, when in fact they actually do. This post for example: http://hubski.com/pub?id=5125 displays no posts when I view the main page, but when I click on the "comments" link I see that there are comments there. I do use Adblock+ and Noscript but I have made sure that they both are either disabled or accepting everything from the site. Any suggestions on what the problem might be? Again, I am sorry if I have posted this in the wrong place.

I mean I would just point out the Black-Scholes model. It was extremely good but it couldn't predict everything. Things like 6 sigma events are always possible and unpredictable and I think, just as most rational people would, that this could get worry some if it was actual used to predict foreign policy or something similar. However, the information it could find would be very interesting to researchers I would think.

This infographic is great. Is there an article or report that can be linked with this though? I would really like to read more from the person that compiled this information on how this all went down. If not, anyone have some suggested reading on this topic?

Even then I find too much of the popular front page reposts and basic silly meme's popping up on them.

I am, and as a new user I was curious if there was some sort of etiquette when posting? I looked through the FAQ and such and did not see anything. I can see that it seems to be a community where we do not want meme's but useful information and insightful articles, but I do not want to step on any toes or anything!
