I can't imagine training my entire life, dedicating countless hours and emotional capital towards something only to find out I'm not good enough to perform at the level I aspire to. Can you imagine what it must be like to be a forever minor league ball player or the stand in for a great actor? Some people just never get the shot or when it is given to them, they choke. For this reason, I find the olympics difficult to watch.

Yeah, I think so too. I never even notice them anymore. Good for me, bad for the people paying to advertise.
