For the last 10 years I have listed books when I have finished reading them. I have a journal that I use for that specific reason. When a book has been especially memorable I have jotted down a few notes about what was special about the book but many times it is just enough to just list the title, author and when it was read. If I didn't take note of some of these books I would definitely not be able to read other books by the same author in the future or books in a similar style as it would be impossible to recall all the books. As one gets older it seems more important to be able to record important aspects of ones life as I want to be able to look back at a later date. I also record the books I have read on the GoodReads website. At the moment so many books that I have read aren't on there yet so I need to find some time to post them there.
