When I was in university I had the chance to travel to a lot of different countries on the Eurail and since then I've had a plan on the back burner to save up to do the entire length of the Trans-Siberian Express. I really do love the time spent travelling on trains and I wish that traveling that way weren't so expensive in the U.S. It's really a shame, since the technology was such a big part of building the country and so many people we displaced or had land taken from them one way or the other to get the rail ways built. People forget how huge the U.S. is and I for one would really like to see it from a train someday.
