What is an old song that is always stuck in your head?

Don't know why, but I just can't seem to ever get this song out of my mind. Every once in a while, the song would just pop in my head and I find myself whistling or singing it.

A bunch of Mills Brothers tunes. My grandmother loves them, and hooked me on them.

They always seem to surface at odd times.

This was my grandfather's favorite.

That is a good one. I don't have the MP3 of it, and don't hear it often as a result.

I was listened to Dean Martin's version of You Always Hurt the One You Love last week, and it just didn't measure up to the Mills Bros charm.

I'm in a Big Band phase at the moment. Gene Krupa's Isn't That Just Like Love? playing atm.

I can't find the version on youtube. Here's Glenn Miller's version, but Krupa's features a woman, and it's much better.

I picked up several Mills Brothers albums on vinyl a few years back. I remember a Mills Brothers album that had a blurry picture of a booze cart with crystal decanters, actually one of my favorite all time album covers of all time, I wonder if that was your album?

It was.

It is a classy cover, for sure.

Good memory. It does have Yellow Bird too.

Yes, that cover says it all to me.

Never heard the song before. Pretty catchy tune. I can see how it sticks with you.

Few of the Mills Bros tunes aren't catchy. Watch out, you'll be bopping down the lane in no time.

I don't know about always, but I was talking to my optician yesterday about the Cirque Beatles show, and afterward I couldn't get this song out of my head:

I often have In My Life by the Beatles in my head. I guess it could be worse.

I usually have tunes I make up coursing through my brain. I'm always working on a melody it seems. It's sort of a mental game for me.

Too bad that Bobby Brown turned out the way that he did and led Whitney Houston down the path that she took.

I have the same one you do. My uncles used to sing it all the time when I was a kid. Dreadful song.

I have the opposite. If ever I have a song stuck in my head, I can just imagine a song by Bobby Timmons, called This Here, and the song goes away.
