15I am going to take a 30 day hiatus from social media. You cannot get up to the minute status on my progress on my non-existent twitter feed, FB wall, and Tumblr page.

While I will certainly miss your posts/comments, I wish you well in your hiatus! I hope you invent something amazing, swim the english channel or at the very most spend some more time with your family.

I take a break every couple of weeks or so, but don't necessarily do it consciously. Whenever I feel the urge I pull the plug. In fact last month was a pretty good example. Work was crazy out of control and I needed a re-balance. I checked my email only about once a week. It was great!

Well, that was interesting. I found myself with huge amounts of time to do other stuff. I did have to go back on Facebook and on a certain internet forum in order to organise meetups in London, but other than that I found myself with lots of time to do more interesting stuff. I think as a result I'll be hanging around on the net less often than I used to.
