Really impressive, though I have no way of knowing how accurate. It looks like a pretty standard microphone, maybe an SM58. I wonder how he chooses which type he likes to use? Surely the microphone is a huge part of his performance, it's really the instrument he is playing.

When I was a kid I thought he was hilarious and I would try to imitate him imitating sounds. So my version of a drill sounded like a watered down version of Michael Winslow mimicking a drill. I used to do this with Dana Carvy and Phil Hartman impersonations too :)
