I'm basically exhausted from these nonstop hours. And the fact that a lot of it is video editing or motion graphics editing. And I'm used to doing that shit for hours when I was in NYC freelancing. No problem. Cept theres no alcohol and I can't smoke ciggies when I do it. So I shake after a while and have to go outside and smoke and breath.
I wake up at 630am. I go to gym by 7am. I work out for ~40mins even though I don't want to. I shower, stop sweating, blow dry my hair, put on grown up work clothes, makeup. I leave by 8:10 and drive to 711 to get rockstars for my boss and I. Get to work by 845.
Then I work til 6ish. Then I drive 30 minutes to the office of my other job (job I worked in high school and from NYC in college. Like 10-20hrs/week. I started re-working for them when I got back from Oz in March and have tons of ongoing projects.) I open a beer (thank lord theres beer in the fridge there) and go thru all the emails I've starred throughout the day and do them.
Usually I leave about 8pm and go home and eat something (parents are gone so it's been cereal this week). Have another beer. Put on recorded TV show. Pass out before first commercial break.
And that's why I havent been around and feel so out of touch with the goddamn world.
And why am I up at 2am? Because my fucking parents cat is a cunt and woke me up by scheeching in my face wanting attention and then ran away when I moved.
Love you all.
OH! also. we're working on a badass new project at work that should go alpha/beta in the next few weeks that you all better check out. I really need to get back to bed but I'll update in the morning with a description and screenshots.
I'm in a similar mode. I'm putting together a grant, which is always madness as the deadline approaches. The last couple of times I submitted grants, I got sick at the end, and I think it has to do with the stress. This time is no different. I don't want to get our new daughter sick, so I've been wearing a surgical mask about the house. :/
I have also been making some pretty big changes to Hubski, which I will probably roll out in the next week or so. I've been long convinced that the format isn't as good as it could be, and I am trying to redesign based on what I want, and not what currently exists. Anyway, expect to log in and see a different looking Hubski in the next week or so.
I also eat too much cereal when left to my own devices.
