Our friend ralphstallard does this around his garden and it seems to work to keep the critters out. I love when he gives us some of his homemade pickles (they're delicious) but at the same time in the back of my mind lingers the knowledge that Ralph may have pissed on one of the cucumbers :-)

Yea, but it would even be fun as a toy for kids when they are old enough to run around in the yard in the summer. I can just imagine all the games I would have invented around this thing as a kid...
