    If you don't want your neighbor's cats in your garden, you will need to take more drastic measures. Try spraying the intruder with a blast from the hose.

You could probably set up some sort of sentry water gun, then you wouldn't even have to be there to spray it!

e: looks like someone else already mentioned this idea, oh well.
