Anti-government 'sovereign movement' on the rise in U.S.

The sovereign movement, estimated by the Southern Poverty Law Center to number 100,000 ardent followers and about 200,000 sympathizers across the country, is rooted in an ideology that rejects government authority at its most basic levels, from its power to tax to the enforcement of criminal laws, including common traffic regulations.

I don't know what to think about these people. In some sense they are paranoid wackos. In another sense, they are contentious objectors.

It's not a good thing if these folk can go in and out of this compound, but it's also a waste of resources to guard the perimeter for years.

At some point, drones are going to be used to resolve these stand-offs, and these nuts are going to have more reason for their cause.
