I've studied watergate a bit but not too in depth, I had no idea that this occurred:

I would imagine that as a journalist, if you are targeted but he FBI in retaliation for your work, it's incredibly disheartening at first but later becomes an enormous badge of honor. Clearly, you were doing your job well. I've always liked Daniel Schorr, even more so now.
