Interesting case. I don't know much about the literature on nutritional best practices of diabetes treatment, but I assume that its been studied pretty extensively. If it has, this guy should maybe realize that what worked for him might not work for everybody. If it hasn't, then this guy should be a case study in a new approach to diabetes management. Either way, I think his disclaimer, so long as its prominently displayed, informing visitors that he isn't a medical professional should be good enough.

That's what I was thinking. If he just puts a disclaimer in the header or note in the sidebar, wouldn't that be enough? There are tons of people who pretend they're an expert and don't get in trouble for it. What about all the anti-vax bloggers out there? Why is this guy getting screwed when there is so much mis-information online today.
