Does “breaking news” have any meaning anymore?

Nope, almost none. I realize that the universe hardly needs another article about how social networks have Changed Everything. Sorry, universe: Facebook, Twitter, chats, and microblogs have Changed Everything. Anyone who’s online can learn news before national news channels report it. The proprietors of Facebook, Twitter, and microblog accounts know this, and they abuse their power like children suddenly placed into the cockpits of battle droids.

on the BBC they were complaining that kate Middleton didn't wear expensive enough cloths i mean they have no fucking clue how people live the BBC are nothing but a bunch of propagandist elite.

I have not seen any "entertainment" or "lifestyle" segment or anything like it in a long time. So I can't really comment on that. Their news coverage top notch though.

I enjoy their news coverage too. It's on the radio every morning. As for them being "elite", you're not going to find many large media organizations where people aren't making a nice living and rubbing elbows with royalty and dignitaries. I suppose you become a bit like that which you report on, right?

I agree that the BBC is not the stellar pillar of journalism that it is often made out to be. The problem is that there aren't many better alternatives. The BBC still trumps most international media sources imo. It's not perfect but it's not Fox either.
