Trying to think of a post a while back. It was a weird interview with a musician

If someone can find this before me I'll be impressed. It was a weird interview with a musician where the scenes and their characters were changing but the conversation kept going. It was hilarious when I watched it and I want to figure out who the musician was.

I'll link it when I find it.

This is great. Love the concept. Ever see Brian Eno interview Brian Eno? Another good one!

It's funny 'cause it's true. Rock journalists all want to be rock stars and therefore love the sound of their own voices.

Haha and I was right because I have been listening to once in a lifetime. Such a good song.

Talking Heads are an absolutely fantastic group. If you're interested in more from David Byrne, check out this awesome post from sounds_sound.

Yeah I have to agree. It's funny because I watched this David Byrne interview a while back without really thinking who Talking Heads were. I wasn't listening to them at the time. Then I swear "Once in a Lifetime" was following me around. I heard it in a handful of places and after it was on in a gas station I stopped to go to the restroom in I went searching for who sang it.

Then in struck me after listening to the album for a few days that the singer of talking heads coud've been the guy from this interview. I didn't see a picture of him, it was probably more from recognizing his voice in the songs.

There is no doubt that David Byrne is something else. His mind is just moving on another field.

Anyways, this is what caught my ear today Right Start

Regarding "Right Start", it's a great song. Don't you think it sounds like an instrumental version of "Once in a Lifetime" a bit? Not that this is a bad thing, just an observation.

Regarding being followed around by Once in a Lifetime, there are worse songs to be followed around by, you got lucky.

I once borrowed mk's record collection and he has a really nice Talking Heads collection. I've since given him his records back and I'm doing my best to build up my collection. So far I've bought these -Threw in some Hubski love!

Byrne's mind does exist on "another field", I agree. Glad you're digging on the Talking heads.
