Great idea, I can't see why it wouldn't be extremely popular so long as it functions well and is affordable.

It would be pretty awkward to use this on any phone without such a large bezel. All of the best-selling Android phones have their front cameras much closer to the edge of the device than the iPhone (as demonstrated) does. It's a very nifty concept, but I don't see it as anything more than another niche accessory for iPhone users, just like the plethora of lenses and mounts that aim to turn it into a better camera.

That very well may be true. I am an iPhone user so I have no familiarity with other devices. That said, creating a viable device for the iPhone gaming market could still be a successful venture. It's a growing market for sure.
[edit] -I think anything a company can do to add a tactile experience to our mobile devices is probably a good thing. There was a post a while back about a company that has developed a way to do this using electricity from the screen. I'll try to find it.
