That is not true. It not because of a politeness factor. It is because Asians are good at math. Good math means being good students. Good students go to medical school. Going to medical school means being doctors. Being doctors mean being surgeons. Being surgeons means wearing surgical masks. Which is why it is common to see people wearing surgical masks in Asian countries. This is a known fact. I read it on the internet somewhere.

So Asians are good at math which means they're all surgeons? Hmmm? Not sure that holds water. But the idea that by not spreading infection it's also self serving is a case I'd buy. I know plenty of smart doctors, some if which are surgeons that id wager are good at math and I've never seen any of them wear masks in public when sick.
