I'm not going to watch this video, but I do love that behind Newts left shoulder it says "Don't Believe the Liberal Media". I once asked Jim Lehrer what he thought of Newts propensity to lash out at moderators during debates and Jim answered that it was to be expected, "Newt has made a career out of pointing a finger at journalists".
So as not to make it seem like I was "hanging out" with Lehrer, I should qualify that he was on the Diane Rehm show and I called in with a question.

When it is actually more of a conservative media, it is much harder to find democratic positions and candidates on MSM.

You think so? I'm not so sure either way. I do think the conservative media is more effective at propagandizing events.

Yes, I look for democratic candidates on political shows, and they hardly any seem to be interviewed. Also networks spend more time defending their positions than presenting their positions.

Yeah, but I also think this changes based on who is in office. Let's face it, if I were FOX I would want Obama to win. Ratings sore when you are the opposition channel and can make a living out of fear mongering. Hard to monger fear when you're party is in power. Conversely if I were MSNBC, I would love a Santorum presidency. That would really bring in some ratings for the Maddow show etc. When you get down to it, the cable news channels care about $. That's it. They can wax on about this or that but whether you're O'rielly pushing the GOP or Maddow pushing the DEM's, you're to sell a product. Period.
So, who controls the media? The opposition party... um, I mean network.

Good points, but you forget the human element behind these shows. They feature host that are very passionate personally about the given subjects it's about more than $ to them. However, their passion is used as a pawn by the networks for profit.
I am a left leaning Independent, but I would dread a Santorum presidency, because he wants to crush my freedom and rights. He is wrong for America. I thought those on the left pushing for a Santorum primary win were crazy.
