The two planets will appear side-by-side in western skies for the next two evenings – offering a dazzling spectacle. So where and how can you best see them?

Just saw them both and Mars and Saturn while driving from Sydney to Dubbo. http://i.imgur.com/xjzkZ.jpg

I was sitting in the hot tub last night wondering what in the heck those two bright "stars" were. I know almost nothing about astronomy - but enough to know those weren't a normal part of the visibly cosmic lineup.

Your hot tub is outside? What a great view that must have been. :)

I'll put the sign out front:

"All Hubskiers Welcome"

Dude... nothing beats sitting in the hot tub on a cold snowy evening.

Clear skies and cool tonight! I am definitely breaking out the telescope.

It's been a while since I looked at Jupiter. I'm going to try to snap a picture through the eyepiece. I don't have a camera adapter. If I have any luck, I'll post it tomorrow.

I couldn't have missed em, they were practically jumping down from the sky.
