I got bored last night on dogs and started playing around with Hubski's archives. I began with Welcome and bounced around. Gave me a great feel of how this site and it's community has evolved. I thought since we're celebrating so many birthdays it'd be fun to pick 10 users at random and showcase their very first posts.

Here's mine. Feeling bored? Looking for some perspective? I encourage you to find yours.
My first post, with a link which ironically, did not survive:
It might be this one. Problem is, search bombs out years ahead of where it should; if I scroll back on my profile my "first post" is this one, which is about two years after I got here. It's entirely possible that PuBID 4356 is my first comment. I've poked around mostly by plugging in pubIDs. Interesting exploration: PubID 4356: 1123 days ago PubID 4000: 1128 days ago PubID 3000: 1142 days ago PubID 2000: 1191 days ago PubID 1000: 1260 days ago PubID 500: 1320 days ago PubID 250: 1350 days ago PubID 101: 1385 days ago This post is PubID 182860. mk - what do you think of the idea of clicking on the "aging" tab and have it take you to posts of an identical age?
It's an interesting idea. I am at this very moment familiarizing myself with Scala, which our new backend is being written in. As a result of this rewrite, we are going to have much more freedom in pulling out data. In addition, we are building it with an API from the beginning (In fact, the API is intrinsic). That way, even if we don't implement an aging tab, it won't be difficult for someone to make it happen.
Haha awesome! :) great Hubski birthday present. Which raises the question, what do we call a birthday on Hubski? edit: completing a wheel
Earliest post I could find. Earliest comment. Ever check them out, mk?
