The Northwest is probably be the most likely place we'd end up if we were to leave Michigan. Mountains are the one thing that we sadly lack. The UP has some beautiful terrain that approaches mountains, but it's old, old rock. Actually, some of the oldest on earth.
There is something about when mountains and water are in the same place.
Someday, I just want to head into Canada and drive and drive.

That was back in the old days. Had Dave climb up on the fence, popped him twice with an external flash with a red filter on it, then had him climb down and let the city fill in. It's a garden-variety in-camera double exposure.
