- Uruguay’s José Mujica lives in a tiny house rather than the presidential palace, and gives away 90% of his salary. He’s legalised marijuana and gay marriage. But his greatest legacy is governing without giving up his revolutionary ideals.
I've read a lot about Mujica. I've must have read about the gay weed stuff a million times, and the "modest" ranch (that's always the word) he lives on. I just wonder exactly what else he's done. There's more to being president than legalizing things that should've been legal all along -- though it's a start.
Or what else he hasn't done. Our leaders are just starting yet another war in the middle East instead of legalizing stuff that should be legal. Any leader who hasn't started any wars has my highest esteem.I just wonder exactly what else he's done. There's more to being president than legalizing things that should've been legal all along -- though it's a start.
