A step in the right direction but...it isn't enough yet:
The rest of the quote says:
Many of those are used to help animals grow faster and prevent infections from breaking out on big farms. Today's announcement on cephalosporins doesn't affect those antibiotics in feed.

Try goats milk cheese. There are fewer farmers using the hormones and antibiotics so common in Bovine products. There is a local goat milk co-op I've been meaning to join. The price includes milk, butter, and cheeses derived from goats milk.
I have always had an affinity to chevre and other goat cheeses, but didn't enjoy the milk much. The only milk I could find was ultra-pastuerized and tasted like something between scalded milk and sock water. Not good. Then I found a low-temp pasteurized milk at Trader Joe's. It is very good. I wish I could buy stock in the company good.

My favorite cheeses are often goats milk, so I'm glad to hear that they are less likely to have hormones/antibiotics in their past. We used to belong to a farmers co-op but it didn't include dairy. I bet I could find one that does. I'm on it, great suggestion.
