I'm no fan of the banks but the insurance industries are just monstrous piles of shit. They are evil, evil, evil. About 10 years ago, I was seeing a show at the Blind Pig in Ann Arbor when a guy ran up to me and socked me in the nose. -Just a random assault. I filed a police report, they never found the guy. Anyways, I had to get my nose re-broken and set. It sucked. Luckily I had insurance, except that they denied my claim saying that it was elective rhinoplasty. I presented them with the police report and a written letter from my otolaryngologist stating that it was an absolutely necessary procedure. That didn't work either. It took an attorney to fix the situation.
Many people wouldn't have had the time or resolve to hold them accountable and that's what they bank on. It was Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Michigan. -Evil.

My wife has discovered that there's an insurance company that will cover 50% of her fee as a midwife, but only if the expectant mother is already a naturopathic patient of hers.
The same insurance company provides 0% coverage of her naturopathic care.

They probably wrote this article.
http://www.vanityfair.com/politics/features/2008/05/monsanto... "Don't be chaotic evil" is their motto.
I'm calling bullshit on the Facebook haters. Banks, insurance, utilities, airlines and healthcare are necessities, so they can get away with being evil. Therefore, people hate them. Facebook is completely elective and free for everyone. The only ones of us that are allowed to claim that we hate Facebook are those of us that don't use it. We don't use it, because we hate it. Simple.

Very good point. However, ask a 19 year old girl if Facebook is elective... or for that reason, any soccer mom. I'll save you the time... it's not.
