I feel like I originally saw the Frank Miller anti occupy screed on Hubski, but maybe not.

Frank Miller took an iconic superhero and turned him into a bitter old man. Supposedly, it made "comic history."

Alan Moore took a nothing superhero and turned him into an existential rumination of what it means to be human three years before that.

Frank Miller went on to do: nothing of note. Everything he's ever written is shit. Aside from the notion that Superman is an exercise in fascism, Frank Miller has added exactly nothing.

Alan Moore went on to write... well, I link to this far too much.

Me too, but searching for "frank miller" doesn't bring up anything. As for Alan, as always, eloquent and relevant. Miller's work really has never been the same since the 80s. He reminds me of Bobby Fischer, the US chess player who won the World Championship, became a chess legend and then went stark raving mad. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HKAW173cSjY

Well, Frank Miller is someone whose work I’ve barely looked at for the past twenty years

Lucky him.

Jokes aside, it's interesting to see their "diametrically opposing" views, coming from someone who is a fan of both.
