You know, all I get when I do that is a greyed-out box, which I then have to highlight to read. Is that how it's supposed to work?

Yes. So instead of yelling SPOILER you just hide it and people have to consciously highlight it to read the text.

Ah ok. I think that image is small enough in-comment not to give anything away, but I wanted to make sure that people who hadn't reached that point would know not to click it. I had thought of sending it via PM, but I imagine that others might have the same problem with their copies that you did.
