I'm certainly of the camp that thinks that immunotherapy is the wave of the future in cancer treatment.
IMHO this is it. What remains is fine-tuning targeting and the response. I really do think the majority of cancers will be curable within 20 years. What I imagine, is a biopsy, then the initiation of a targeted immune-response. It's possible that some adjuvant treatment that weakens the tumor will be used as well, however melanoma is a very aggressive tumor.
