Very cool. I'm still working through the second release which has been a bit of a bear. The next release I'd like to do is actually with a jazz quintet based out of Logan Square, the Grilly Brothers. They put on a free show every Wednesday night right across from Cole's bar, which just so happens to be where I spent many a Wednesday night waiting hours on end to go up and do my five minutes at a comedy open mic. My friends would come by to keep me company and after my set we'd go across the street with a bottle or two to enjoy the show. For the Grilly Brothers record I hope to get one or two of their originals recorded at their in-house studio and get a rework by an edm artist for the other side. If that were to go as planned (i.e. tremendously) I'd definitely be interested in working with you all. Let's keep in touch on that.
I still am baffled that we happen to be so near one another.
I looked up Cole's Bar and didn't see that the Grilly Brothers were on their calendar. If they're doing free shows, I'd love to check that out as well. Yes, definitely keep in touch. I think it'd be a lot of fun to work with you.
