My old Budapest bandmates are spread all over the world now, but we have an email thread going back several years where we share music we are currently listening to, and Dry Cleaning kinda has all of us in love with them right now.
Huh. People describe Daft Punk that way? Usually see that reserved for, like, Juan Atkins, any number of acts from Germany in the 80s/early 90s, or Giorgio Moroder (which probably isn't accurate). It's more likely that I'm off-base with this.
Same. Except I was in elementary school so never got to experience what you’re describing, and unfortunately the only recent act I can think of is Burial whom I never seem to be on the same coast as his tours. Cannot imagine how revelatory seeing Daft Punk circa 1997-2002ish would have been.
