I love this! I like the test print more, with the fewer colors, and i think these prints could also look super cool in funky not traditional peacock colors. It's great to see your progress. I've made some prints with a potato earlier in quarantine, and with a small wood block last week, but the lines/my tools were not precise enough. Time to pull the trigger and buy that amazon kit you recommended, for lockdown winter arts and crafts.

Yes. I really want to experiment with, how many layers (and which ones) does it take for a person to recognize, "Peacock!" -- and also -- what about PINK eye feathers?

I also think the black "key block" could be really cool when printed using a rainbow roll...That's essentially a gradient printing technique...I haven't technically/correctly done a true "rainbow roll" yet, but I've done plenty of experimenting with mixing colors "not all the way", rolling it out and printing that. I really enjoy making new colors for each print or making a slightly different version of a color for the next print...Honestly, that's one of the reasons that I think it would be worth trying to sell some of this stuff in person, once craft fairs and the like come back. It's a lot easier to say, "They're all different colors pick one" than try to tell Etsy I have 20 of the same image but they're all different colors, and no, "blue" and "green" do not capture the range of "teal" I'm looking for here...

:)
