Naked Watchmaker is where Peter Speake-Marin takes shit apart for fun. Considering he worked at APRP for a while back in the '90s there's probably some of his heritage in there. You wouldn't know it from the writing.
This is an expensive watch. You could get five or so Rolex Oyster Perpetuals for the price of one. It is fair to say that if you ever see one on someone's wrist, you can know that wrist has no material concerns on this astral plane. Nonetheless I think it's interesting to see what went into it because aside from "rhodium-plate ALL THE THINGS" this is basically a basic tool watch taken to the logical conclusion of precision manufacture.
